Calling all artists!
We’re on the lookout for talented artists, designers, and creatives to help bring our Lion sculptures to life as part of Lions on the Loose—a spectacular public art trail in support of St Clare Hospice.

Using our majestic lion sculpture as your canvas, you’ll be invited to submit a design that could be selected by one of our sponsors during a special artist matching event.
If your design is chosen, you’ll be commissioned to bring it to life on a full-sized, 3D lion sculpture, which will go on display across Harlow and Epping during summer 2026—seen and celebrated by tens of thousands of visitors. After the trail, your artwork will be auctioned to raise vital funds for St Clare Hospice, leaving a lasting legacy in our local community.
We’re especially keen to receive submissions from artists based in West Essex and surrounding areas, but all are welcome to apply. You don’t need to be a professional artist—but you do need the skills to complete your sculpture to a high standard that will wow trail-goers and attract bidders at auction.
Our Artist Pack, with everything you need to know, will be available soon, and design submissions will open in autumn 2025.
