Reedings Junior school have a kingfisher on their school badge so it seemed a natural choice for their lion to somehow be linked to that. The children painted the feathers which were then arranged to follow the patterns and colours of a kingfisher. Some wrote stories about the lion's transformation, and our headteacher named him.
