Lucky Water Dragon

Artist: Amelia Hart
Adopted by: St Clare Hospice Nurses

Associated with strength, bravery, and healing, the Chinese lung dragon is often seen as a guardian and bringer of positive change. The water dragon in particular is depicted as tenacious, optimistic, forward-thinking, and possessing a gentle sense of humour. These qualities closely reflect the values of St Clare’s Hospice: compassion, resilience, and care through difficult journeys.

“Lucky Water Dragon has been adopted by St Clare’s nurses. Anyone who has met a St Clare Hospice nurse will tell you how special they are. With expert knowledge in palliative care, they look after the whole person, not just their illness. They bring calm, kindness and reassurance on the hardest days, providing comfort, understanding and skilled support when it matters most.”
